Distribution range of peanuts

Peanuts are widely distributed in China and are grown everywhere. The main production areas are Shandong, eastern Liaoning, Guangdong Leizhou Peninsula, Huanghuai River area and coastal hills and sandy areas along the southeast coast. Among them, Hebei and Henan in the north, the northern parts of Jiangsu and Anhui provinces are more, Shandong Peninsula, the south-central hills of Shandong, the lower reaches of Luanhe River in East Hebei, the yellow plains of East Henan and the Huaibei area of Jiangsu and Anhui provinces are the key peanut producing areas in northern China. There are more than 100 countries in the world that produce peanuts, and Asia is the most common, followed by Africa. However, only more than 10 countries are used for commodity production, and among the major producers, India and China have the largest cultivated area and production, the former about 7.2 million hectares, 5.6 million tons, and the latter 3.553 million hectares, 6.757 million tons (1985). Other countries include Senegal, Nigeria and the United States.
